While taking time off from a career, some people look deep inside their soul and resolve to be a kinder, more sympathetic human being. Maryse isn’t one of those people. Ever since her ring return, the conceited Canadian has been on a malicious, single-minded quest: Recapture the Divas Championship.

This week, the blond beauty battled Gail Kim while Kelly Kelly served as special guest ring announcer. Kim’s tenacity appeared to match up well against Maryse, but the match ended in the blond Diva’s favor when, with the referee’s back turned, she seized the opportunity to cheat and win.

Her depravity didn’t end there. When Kelly Kelly announced the winner, Maryse insisted that she designate her “the next Divas Champion.” When Kelly Kelly refused, Maryse attacked, prompting current Divas Champion Melina to rush to her friend’s aid and jolt Maryse from the scene.

Maryse Injury Update

WWE Diva Maryse, who lost her title last night at Night of Champions, is currently in Birmingham, Alabama and will be examined by Dr. James Andrews tomorrow. The general belief within WWE is that Maryse may need knee surgery to repair ongoing issues with her kneecap, which she has been suffering from for quite some time.
December of last year Maryse suffered a dislocated kneecap on a house show in North Carolina, after she was dropkicked by one of the Bella twins. At the time, no surgery was required due to the level of initial treatment she had received and was able to return to action several weeks later.

Maryse Needing Knee Surgery?

Thanks to Oh-Maryse.org we have some news about Maryse.

Reportedly, Former WWE RAW GM Vickie Guerrero has said that Maryse needs to have surgery on her knee which would explain why Maryse has gone to Birmingham instead of DC where RAW is tonight. Maryse injured her knee back in December 26th, 2008 in a WWE Smackdown! Houseshow.

Let's hope Maryse gets better soon =)

Maryse is backstage stretching and the Miz comes over and asks if she need help stretching. Maryse denies and says if he comes to her later she will show him some of her moves. He goes into kiss her but she rejects him saying shes dosen’t get seen with losers. He then insults her and says she will lose the championship sometime soon and that when she does she will come crawling back to him but shes buggered that up, just like she buggers up the english language everytime she opens her mouth. Maryse looks on as Miz leaves with a upset look on her face.

Divas Champion Maryse vs Mickie James

Maryse comes down in a new attire! All black and looks amazing. She looks abit upset as she comes down. Maryse chucks her coat into Mickies face and ref goes into between them. Mickie goes after Maryse but she ducks and startes teasing Mickie and showing off. They lock up and Mickie pushes Maryse to the floor. They continue the lock up and Maryse grabs Mickies hair. Mickie runs after Maryse but she goes to the ropes. Maryse does her hair flip and says something in french and Mickie grabs her hair and pulls it. Mickie does a quick pin but Maryse kicks out. Maryse kicks Mickie and goes to kick her in face. Mickie tosses Maryse over and kicks her in the face. Mickie hits Maryse in face and gut but Maryse chucks her into corner. Mickie ends up outside of ring and does a huge kick to her face. Maryse tells the ref to count out and Maryse shouts with the ref and smiles. Mickie gets in at 8. Maryse kicks Mickie and drags her and drives her face into the mat. Maryse starts yelling at Mickie and Mickie starts hitting her. Maryse drives her elbow to Mickies face and goes for the pin. Mickie kicks out. Maryse puts Mickie in the camel clutch. Maryse slaps Mickie several times. Mickie hits Maryse in the gut but Maryse hits her on the back and tosses her out of the ring. Maryse goes out and starts yelling at her. She tosses her back in. and grabs her spray. Mickie kicks Maryse and picks up the spray. The ref grabs the spray and Mickie jumps on Maryse. Mickie drives Maryse into the ring. They are now back into the ring and Mickie goes onto the top rope and jumps but Maryse moves. Maryse goes for pin but Mickie kicks out. Maryse does the camel clutch again. Mickie gets out of it and picks Maryse up and slams her into the mat. Mickie and Maryse start hitting each other. Mickie hits Maryse and tosses her into the mat and does her clotheslines. She hits a neck breaker. Goes for pin but Maryse kicks out. Mickie tosses Maryse into corner. Maryse then tosses Mickie into corner. Mickie does her head scissors. Maryse goes for pin. Kick out. Mickie kicks Maryse and slams her into the mat. Mickie hits her DDT and goes for the pin.

Winner: Mickie James (New Divas Champion)

Maryse oozes sex appeal and panache

WWE Divas’ Champion Maryse Ouellet is ready to finally step into the ring and put her title on the line against her nemesis Mickie James at Night of Champions.
“Mickie James was the Women’s Champion four times and she’s really known to be one of the best wrestlers. I can’t believe it; I just think about it, I used to watch her on TV and now I’m competing against her. So it’s just incredible when you think about it,” the Montreal native told SLAM! Wrestling on Thursday.
Ouellet has been one of the fastest rising stars in WWE — she only began training in the summer of 2006 and by December 2008, defeated Michelle McCool for the Divas’ belt.
